Our Vintage Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and Silver Bracelet is an extraordinary statement piece, distinguished by the abundance of luminous blue turquoise set across its beautifully sculptural silver form. Each stone has been individually shaped into a softly squared cabochon and arranged almost architecturally across the cuff. Sleeping Beauty turquoise originates from the famed mine near Globe, Arizona, and is celebrated for its exceptionally clear, vibrant sky-blue color, often appearing with little or no visible matrix. The mine ceased turquoise production in 2012, meaning the material available today comes from existing supplies rather than newly mined stone. This finite availability has made genuine Sleeping Beauty turquoise increasingly sought after, particularly when enough closely matched stones can be assembled to create a substantial piece such as this bracelet.

The handmade silverwork is equally captivating. Each turquoise stone rests within its own individually formed silver setting, surrounded by tiny silver accents and assembled into a broad, dramatic cuff. The open construction beneath gives the bracelet an unexpected lightness, while the oxidized recesses emphasize the brilliant turquoise above. Nothing about a bracelet of this complexity is effortless: shaping, setting, soldering, finishing, and balancing so many individual stones demands tremendous patience and precision.

Jean Marie personally selected this vintage piece during her travels throughout the Southwest. What captivated her was the almost uninterrupted field of brilliant  Robin's egg blue, the turquoise seems to float across the silver.
