Kantha Coats

Introducing our exclusive one of a kind collection of quilted, reversible, kantha coats, made from repurposed 100% cotton fabrics by talented women artisans from Bengal, India. Kantha is a centuries-old Indian craft of stitching patchwork cloth from rags. The word kantha is derived from the Sanskrit word kontha, which means rugs. The craft originated in the Bengali region of India, now known as West Bengal and Orissa, and Bangladesh, before 1500 BC. Each coat is a unique fusion of 100% cotton repurposed fabrics made into vintage quilts with intricate Kantha stitching, and then made into coats. With pockets on both sides, these coats are as practical as they are stylish, perfect for any occasion. They are all one of a kind - if you see one you love, grab it before it's gone!
