Our Venezia Ogee Blouse transforms the classic indigo cotton shirt through the centuries-old art of Indian hand block printing. Each repeating ogee motif is block printed by hand, with skilled artisans carefully positioning carved wooden blocks across the cotton one impression at a time. The subtle variations created by this process give the pattern its wonderful movement and ensure that no two blouses are precisely alike.

The ogee itself has a fascinating history. Characterized by its graceful, curving pointed form, the motif traveled across cultures and became particularly associated with the arches and windows of Venetian Gothic architecture.
