Semi Precious Rose Quartz Mala
Rose Quartz has long been revered as the stone of unconditional love, but its presence is far more nuanced than sentiment alone. It is believed to carry a quiet, steady energy that softens the heart, encouraging compassion, emotional balance, and a deeper connection to oneself and to others. Throughout history, it has been associated with healing—both inward and outward—inviting a sense of calm, openness, and grace into daily life.
Each Pax Philomena mala is personally curated by Jean Marie, who seeks out stones not only for their beauty, but for their presence—the way they feel in the hand, the way they catch the light, the subtle individuality within each bead. No two malas are ever exactly alike. The tassels, composed of delicately faceted stones, shimmer softly with movement, adding a refined luminosity that elevates the piece beyond the traditional.
Malas themselves trace their origins to the birthplace of yoga, derived from the Sanskrit word japamala, a string of beads used for meditation and prayer. Much like a rosary, the 108 beads are traditionally used to count the repetition of a mantra, a number long held as sacred in Hindu philosophy, symbolizing spiritual completion and wholeness.
Worn today, a mala becomes something more personal—part adornment, part talisman. This Rose Quartz mala layers effortlessly with the Pax Philomena collection, bringing with it a softness of color and a sense of intention. It is as beautiful worn simply as it is layered, and often becomes a piece one reaches for again and again—not only for how it looks, but for how it feels.
