Manisha Mandarine Maxi Kaftan Dress

Sale price$295.00

This Manisha design is historic to Pax Philomena as it is the first print that Jean Marie launched for the collection. Her first piece was called the Manisha tunic. This fabric is indeed one of our most difficult, and labour intensive fabrics to print. It  features a micro floral pattern discharge block printed by hand, on a very soft cotton pin tucked voile fabric. This fabric is hand pin tucked before printing, and is still lightweight, however it has extra dimension and body. The vertical striping effect is flattering to all figures.

It took us two years to get this fabric and we are not certain we can get it again, so NOW is the time to grab this Pax Philomena classic! Comes in red, black , and now tangerine as well!

Length 54"

One size with adjustable drawstring waist.

100% cotton voile

Hand wash cold or use a delicate machine hand wash cycle, with mild detergent, and in a lingerie bag to protect tassels. Hang dry. One separate wash before wearing is recommended

Made in India

This fabric is block printed by hand, creating subtle variations in the pattern. Each piece is a unique work of art worthy of honor and celebration.

Beautiful texture, deep coral color

"I am a petite (5'4") busty (38E) plump (US18) middle-aged apple. I am in love with these versatile, flattering kaftans! Dress up, run errands, hang at home, does it all. This is a beautiful deep coral or burnt orange color with a heavier texture due to the weave, beautiful. I launder in a large mesh lingerie bag on the 'hand wash' setting, cold, line dry; it irons very quickly. The cinch under the bust is both flattering (totally hides my no-waist apple) + forgiving. I wear a shortlette with pockets underneath to hold my phone. The maxi length is a hair too long for me to safely (not trip) wear, so I hand-stitch hem mine. Sublime!"
