Our founder, Jean Marie, developed an appreciation for exceptional cotton at an early age. When her family moved from India to the United States, her mother, Philomena, brought their beautifully woven Indian cotton bed linens with them. Sleeping beneath those luxurious cottons gave Jean Marie an appreciation for the extraordinary softness, breathability and comfort that only exceptional cotton can provide. Years later, when she began searching for truly luxurious cotton pajamas, she found that much of what was available in the American marketplace was made from heavier fabrics that lacked the lightness and graceful drape she remembered. That search led her to fine cotton voile—a fabric she believes defines true luxury because it is light, breathable and becomes even softer with every wash.
