Together, they envisioned a design that honors generations of Pueblo craftsmanship while showcasing the striking harmony of vivid turquoise, rich black jet, and vibrant red coral. For centuries, the Santo Domingo people have been renowned for their mastery of traditional heishi jewelry, patiently hand-cutting, drilling, shaping, and polishing every bead before stringing each necklace with incredible precision. This piece beautifully blends three materials deeply rooted in Southwestern jewelry. Turquoise has long been treasured as a stone of protection, healing, and good fortune. Red coral, prized for generations, brings warmth, vitality, and a vibrant contrast that has become iconic in Native jewelry.
