In more than three decades of sourcing gemstones from around the world, Jean Marie encounters material of this quality only occasionally. This remarkable Aqua Chalcedony originates in Africa, where collectors and gemstone dealers prize the finest material for its unusual coloration and limited availability. Exceptional strands have become increasingly difficult to obtain, particularly in the larger, beautifully matched stones required for a necklace of this caliber. When Jean Marie discovered this strand during a sourcing trip to India, she immediately recognized how unusual it was. We were able to create only this single necklace, and once it is sold, we cannot promise another of comparable quality will become available.
