Our Pink Ikat Long Cotton Tunic is a joyful celebration of color, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. The fabric for this tunic was woven in Uzbekistan, a country at the heart of the ancient Silk Road and renowned for its extraordinary ikat weaving traditions. Uzbekistani ikat is celebrated for its rich colors, blurred patterns, and intricate craftsmanship, created through a labor-intensive process where threads are resist-dyed before weaving. The fabric for this piece was produced on traditional narrow looms, a technique passed down through generations of artisans. Because the looms create very slim widths of cloth, just 15" wide, each garment must be carefully constructed panel by panel. This also means the fabric is incredibly limited—we were only able to create one tunic from this textile, making it truly rare and entirely one of a kind.

Jean Marie selected this fabric during one of her sourcing journeys in Asia, and was instantly captivated by its vibrancy and artistry. She often speaks about the emotional connection certain textiles create, and this one felt impossible to forget.
