Our Andijan Pink and Azzurro Ikat Long Tunic is a bold yet balanced expression of color and craftsmanship. Soft, washed blue grey tones form the base, layered with striking pink motifs, deep charcoal accents, and unexpected touches of yellow that bring warmth and energy to the design. The pattern feels dynamic and almost painterly, while the long, fluid silhouette creates an elegant shape that moves effortlessly with the body.

This piece is woven in Uzbekistan using traditional narrow looms, where the art of ikat has been practiced for centuries. Each thread is resist-dyed before weaving, creating the signature blurred patterns that make ikat so distinctive. The narrow width of the looms means the fabric is produced in limited strips, requiring careful, thoughtful construction of each garment. Because of this, we were only able to create one tunic from this particular textile, making it a rare, one-of-a-kind piece that carries both history and craftsmanship in every seam.

Jean Marie selected this fabric during one of her sourcing journeys, immediately drawn to its striking contrast and sense of movement. She often speaks about fabrics that feel alive, and this was one of them, the interplay of grey and vivid pink, softened by subtle yellow details, felt both bold and harmonious. It was a piece that stood out instantly, chosen not just for its visual impact but for the emotion and story it carries.
