Navajo Rare Royston Turquoise Silver Tufa Cast Cuff

Sale price$1,717.00

This bold cuff is a striking example of Navajo silversmithing, featuring a large, hand-selected Royston turquoise stone set in sterling silver crafted through the traditional tufa cast method. Exclusively commissioned for us by a skilled Navajo silversmith, this piece carries with it not only centuries of tradition but also a deeply personal story: our founder, Jean Marie, inspired by her love of Royston turquoise, worked directly with the artisan to bring this cuff to life. The result is a one-of-a-kind treasure that radiates both cultural heritage and contemporary vision.

Royston turquoise, is hard to find in this beautiful green colour, it is mined in Nevada, and is celebrated for its extraordinary palette, ranging from deep forest greens to vivid sky blues, often veined with golden-brown matrix. For Native peoples, turquoise has always been a sacred stone, a symbol of protection, healing, and spiritual connection, regarded as a bridge between earth and sky. To wear turquoise is to carry harmony, strength, and blessings with you, and Royston is among the most powerful expressions of that tradition.

The cuff’s creation is as remarkable as the stone it holds. Forged through the ancient tufa casting technique, the silversmith carves a mold from volcanic tufa stone and pours molten silver into it. Each mold can only be used once, ensuring that no two pieces are ever alike. The organic textures created in this process reflect both the raw beauty of the earth and the masterful hands of the artisan.

The Navajo Royston Turquoise Silver Tufa Cast Cuff is more than a piece of jewelry, it is a wearable story. It carries the legacy of Navajo silversmithing, the sacred symbolism of turquoise, and the personal passion of Jean Marie, who dreamed this piece into existence.
