Bollywood Brinjal Floral Short Kaftan

This gorgeous kaftan is named after two of Jean Marie's favourite things - Bollywood movies and Brinjal curry. Brinjal is the name for eggplant in Hindi, and Jean Marie only ever knew this fabulous nightshade by the name "brinjal" until she got to grade school in America, and was taught otherwise. JM is a huge fan of cooking her own garden grown eggplants into the fabulous brinjal curry that her mother Philomena taught her to make!

This dress is a masterpiece of block printing as the details in the border are very intricate. It took very skilled printers to make this fabric.

Hand wash cold, or delicate machine wash cold using mild detergent, in a lingerie bag to protect hand beaded tassels. Hang dry.
