Our Bekobod Blue and Grey Long Ikat Tunic Dress is a celebration of one of the world's oldest and most beautiful textile traditions. Named after the historic Uzbek city of Bekobod, this remarkable piece carries with it the spirit of the ancient Silk Road, where caravans once crossed deserts and mountain passes carrying rare silks, spices, and handwoven treasures between East and West.

Woven in Uzbekistan from exceptionally fine cotton, the fabric possesses an elegant natural sheen that gives it the appearance of silk while retaining the breathability and comfort of the finest cotton. The soft sky blue and ivory palette, accented with unexpected touches of vibrant pink, feels both fresh and timeless, evoking the brilliant blue domes and flowering gardens that have long defined Central Asia.

True Uzbek ikat is among the world's most treasured textiles. Before weaving begins, each thread is individually resist-dyed by hand, so the pattern exists within the yarn itself rather than on its surface. The fabric is then woven on remarkably narrow traditional looms, producing cloth only 50 centimeters—about 20 inches—wide. Every dress must be carefully assembled from these slender panels, much as Silk Road artisans have done for centuries. It is a slow, exacting process that cannot be hurried, and one of the reasons authentic Uzbek ikat remains so rare today.
