The dyes are derived from natural substances like beet root, indigo, turmeric, and rose madder. The pattern boasts a base print of concentric indigo squares, intricately adorned with alternating red stripes and thin black chevron patterns.

Jean Marie sourced this dress from a small village in India known for this very special mud block printing method. She found the best printers in India, who actually have been visited by the present King Charles of England himself, when he was still a Prince!
